Dot loved her family pets which included a dog from Battersea Dogs Home called Nicky, her cat Tibby, and pet hamsters. Dot's hamster, Hilda, was very cheeky, attacking Laura’s more timid hamster under the sideboard. They also had a tortoise Tina who got lost under the shed.
